Throwback Thursday!

Posted in Daytime, Throwback Thursday by wersmusic on February 25, 2010

Today we celebrate what would have been the 67th birthday for George Harrison. George was born February 25th 1943 in Liverpool. While he is undeniably most famous for being the guitar player of the Beatles, Harrison is also remember for his solo career, his work with the Traveling Wilburys, his experimentation with Indian music (a project he worked on with David Crosby and Ravi Shankar), and the 1971 charity Concert for Bangladesh. One of Harrison’s lesser known endeavors was his film studio, HandMade Films. Under the guise of his film studio the notoriously quite Beatle teamed up with his friends from the Monty Python comedy troop and produced 1979′s “Life of Brian”. Below is a clip from the film and Harrison’s “Beautiful Girl” from his album 33 1/3.
