Newport Rewind: Andrew Bird Saturday Afternoon

Indie-folk musician Andrew Bird may be fairly new to the “indie” scene, but he’s certainly no newb. The former jazz musician and classically trained violinist graduated Northwestern with a degree in violin performance–and has been dazzling music lovers with his imaginative melodies since. Yesterday afternoon, Bird whistled his way into the hearts and minds of the thousands in attendance while showing off his mastery of the violin, and guitar.
